ABOUT ME

Hi I am a passionate, enthusiastic and dedicate childminder registered with Ofsted. I am proud to provide high quality childcare to children in the local area. I became a childminder in 2016 after 7 years working in the local area in the childcare sector. I am based in Hedon. I have received good at both of my Ofsted Inspections whilst being a childminder. As a mum of 2 I understand the importance of a safe, nurturing, stimulating, environment for children to thrive in.

I provide all food during sessions (for a full day) this includes breakfast of cereals, fruit, yogurt, toast. And a nutritional balanced menu that includes lunch, tea and snacks, planned to cater for any dietary requirements and preferences.

I provide children with a variety of experiences from museum trips, parks, sensory rooms, libary, playgroups, nature walks, farm trips, beach trips and lots of local exploring walks, helping them build essential skills of confidence, socialising, and doc covering their curiosity for the world around them.

I am committed to my continuous professional development and regularly update my knowledge completing courses and programmes to help benefit the children in my care and aid them to reach their full potential.

I use the famly app to update through the day in your child's naps, food, nappies. And to send observerations across and WhatsApp to update you on your child's day.

I am currently open 48 weeks a year and provide term time only or full time contracts. I also offer the 15 qmd 30 hours government funded places from 9 months, I also welcome families who use working tax credit support, families who use student finance through college or university and work place childcare vouchers.

We are a nature muddy loving setting who enjoy getting messy as part of our exploring and learning. We became hygge accredited in 2025, as cheeky chimps childminding. We are also part of the plastic free schools programme, and forest childcare association. I have also being shortlisted for the national individual childminder of the year 2025 award.

My Experience

I have over 16 years experience with children from 6 months to 16 years old. I began as am apprentice in an out of school club and worked my way up being a qualified practitioner and then a pre school room leader to deputy manager of the nursery over the 7 years. Whilst completing my level 6 degree in early childhood I registered as an Ofsted childminder in April 2016, providing a safe and secure, nurturing environment for children where children are valued as an individual and part of the chimps extended family that we have created here. I have personal and professional experience with children with speech issues, english as an additional language and autism and ADHD as well as a number of different additional needs. I am also mum to girls born in 2022 and 2024 and have 2 teenage step sons.

I hold a paediatric first aid, level 2 food hygiene, level 3 safeguarding alongside a number of other training.

I am hygge accredited, plastic free schools accredited, part of the forest childcare association, a member of the childminder best practice, sun safety accredited. I prioritise completing CPD to ensure the children in my care recieve the highest quality of care I can provide with being up to date on changes to the EYFS and government guidance.
